Salzburg, Austria (day 7)

GUTEN MORGEN!!
The two mornings in Oberammergau we were treated to a continental breakfast in our hotel.   The Hotel Arnika.  They served eggs, all kinds of breads, meats, cheeses, and cereals.  It was a very quaint place to stay with beautiful views of the alps surrounding us.

After checking out of Hotel Alstadt we drove down into the Zentrum for a little shopping.  I wanted to buy a hat and I found this one that I love!!

After just a short time of shopping we all got into our cars and headed toward Salzburg.  What was supposed to be 2 1/2 hours turned into 4 1/2 hours with a stop for lunch and construction work on the highway.  After arriving and checking into our hotel the Wolf-Deitrich Hotel we all walked into the Old Town and perused a few shops and took some pictures.

We enjoyed dinner at the Zum Mohren Restaurant.  Franz Shubert and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart ate here many times in their day.  I saw and touched a wall that has been maintained clear back from the year 1300.  It used to be a part of the wall of the old city.  This place has been around a long time!

Of course, we had to have some dessert!!
I had an ice cream while Rick had a cheese strudel with ice cream.

Now, while Rick is asleep next to me in bed I am blogging and watching
"The Sound of Music"  (of course!!!)
Auf Wiedersein.
