LAGOON AND CHERRY HILL 2022

Lat week we had our annual Lagoon and Cherry Hill getaway.  Rick and I pulled the trailer up to cherry Hill and got it all parked and set up and then we met Kaitlyn and her kids at the entrance to Lagoon for a day of fun.  Skylar and Sarah had gotten there a few hours before us and were already having a great time with their kids.  Sharon had offered to take care of Eric so it was them with their three older kids.

We got to meet up with them and spent the next five hours all together.  We had such a good time riding kiddie rides and adult rides alike.

Here are some random pictures of the day.

At 7:00 we were parting ways when I checked my Find My App and saw that Brach and Kendra were in the park.  I called Kendra and she said that they had just gotten there.  There was an issue with their sprinkler system at home and so they got a reeeaally late start.

Since it was going to cost them $400 for their family to spend the last two hours of opening hours at Lagoon they ended up buying a season pass so that they could come back and enjoy more time at the park.  We met up with them and had a great hour and a half with them until the park closed.  In fact, Rafe and Scout were so brave and went on Wicked with Grandpa and Kendra.  I watched them the whole way and was kinda freaking out thinking those little kids were on such a big roller coaster!
Henry and Charles had told me earlier in the day that Wicked was their favorite ride of the day!
Anyway, we all had a great time at Lagoon!

We stayed until 9:00 when the park closed and ended up grabbing some dinner just across the highway at Blaze Pizza and then drove back up to Cherry Hill for the night.  We stopped to see where Brach and Kendra were in their rented motor home.  They were quite comfy in their home away from home:)

We had a good nights rest in the trailer and woke up ready for Cherry Hill fun!
Kendra and the kids came over for some fun cereal and doughnuts that grandpa had purchased that morning and we also played a couple of games of UNO with Rafe while the other kids played there at the table with Stratego soldiers.  After a bit they were off to get ready for water park time.

Here are some random pictures of us at Cherry Hill!

This year's Cherry Hill and Lagoon tradition was really fun!  The kids are getting older and can enjoy the excitement of the parks a little better and that definitely makes it more fun for the adults!  Not to leave the little one's out.  Brady and Chloe loved the rides at Lagoon and Cherry Hill's fun activities as well!  Merik liked a few of the rides at Lagoon but was still a little nervous for some.   I literally had to drag him onto the ferris wheel.  I covered his eyes while we were going up but with Haivyn's encouragement he looked out and enjoyed the view.  He also loved the waterpark with the lazy river.  Good times!!

Until next year.....

COCO TURNS THREE

Miss Chloe Rose turned THREE on June 5th.  Her mom made her the requested Rapunzel cake and she was very happy.  A little party was held in Doug and Leesa's backyard and we all had a nice time visiting and celebrating Coco.  She was super cute, as always and was super excited for her presents.

Haivyn's Baptism

Haivyn Skye was baptized on May 15th by her Grandpa Rick.  Haivyn looked really beautiful in her new dress and shoes.

There were many friends and family that came to support her that day.
All of our family were there and many from the lane came, as well.   She had her primary teacher Maria Whitworth and members of the primary presidency.  Sister Warner and Kaitlyn's friend Adele also came.

It was a very nice service with the cousins starting off sining When I am baptized.  Then Aunt Kendra spoke on Baptism and then she was baptized by Grandpa Phelps.  After they got dried off and back into their dry clothes, Uncle Brach gave a talk on the Holy Ghost.  Next Haivyn's Uncle Skylar gave her the gift of the Holy Ghost through the Priesthood and then the Primary President said a few words and then the Bishop finished up the meeting.   I was able to play the piano for the music and Aunt Sarah was the chorister.  Afterwards we had a dinner at our house and enjoyed a nice bbq on the back patio.

It was a beautiful day and service!

MAY BIRTHDAYS

We celebrated two birthdays in May.  Haivyn turned eight on May 9th and we had a little get together out at the pavilion.  We had ham sandwiches with a couple of salads and chips.  Kaitlyn brought drinks and a fun snickers birthday cake for Haivyn.  All of the cousins came to celebrate her!

We had a nice time but boy was it chilly outside!

We love our Haivyn and are excited for her to be EIGHT years old!

Then, on May 10th Xavier turned FOUR!

We had a little party for him at our house and invited his cousins and Brandon and Jenni and kids.
I made him a crocodile cake made of cupcakes and he opened a couple of presents and the kids played outside.  It was nice to spend some time with him.  It has been a whole year since the cousins had seen him so it was nice to reconnect.  We are grateful that he has been adopted into a kind, loving family and especially grateful for the opportunity that they allow our family to be a part of his life.

He is wearing glasses now and looks so cute!
