Daisy turns THREE

Our sweet Daisy turned THREE!  We sure love her spunky personality and her sweetness!  She loves to come hang out at our house and we love to have her over!  What a blessing it is that she lives just right across the street from us!😀

She had visitors from both families and got a lot of fun presents!
Isn't she such a cutie!

At Daisy's request, Sarah made her an Elsa cake.

                                                            It turned out so cute!

Here's a picture of all the kids that attended the party....

Merik was there but is hidden behind Lilly.

Daisy loved her chocolate cupcake and Chloe is happy to smile for the camera!😆

                                                         Oh hey,  there's Merik!

The littles LOVE to watch videos on grandpa's phone.

Happy Birthday, our darling Daisy girl!

Lava Hot Springs

On the 13th of January Rick and I met up with some of the Phelps siblings in Lava Hot Springs.  This has sort have become a Phelps family tradition as it has been something we have done for the last several years.
We arrived on a Thursday afternoon and stopped by DeeAnn's and Darrell's room to say, "hi".
A few minutes later Karen joined us then Dennis.  A short time later Trent and Kathy arrived and we ended up visiting for a few hours.  Rick and I had thought we would like to take a dip in the hot pools before dinner but by the time we finished visiting it was close to five o'clock.

We decided to have dinner before the pools.  We ate at the Porteuf Grille.  It was a nice time visiting but the food was very bland.  I don't think we will be returning there.

After dinner we, along with Trent and Kathy went to the hot pools to soak for an hour.  The hot water felt really wonderful!

Afterwards, we all met up in DeeAnn's room and played the name game a couple of times and laughed and had a good time.  Brad was not feeling well so he stayed in his room to rest.

Here's are a few shots of us all in DeeAnn's room.

Here's a shot of all of the fun goodies that we brought to share.
It was a fun night being together!

The next morning we met for breakfast at the Chuckwagon.  Brad and Ruth left early because Brad was still feeling under the weather.  After breakfast we all headed our separate directions.

What fun it is to spend time with the Phelps siblings!

Christmas Gift from Skylar and Sarah

This year's Christmas gift from Skylar and Sarah was entitled
"Our Favorite Things".

On Christmas morning they gave us a bag of a few of their favorite things.
Sarah really loves organic products, so they gave us items without extra chemicals like
deodorant, mouthwash, epsom salts, and toothpaste.
That was really nice of them:)

With that gift they wanted to have a date with us eating some of their favorite foods and then doing an activity of something that is our favorite.

So, last night, New Year's Eve, while Hallie Harrington tended the children at our place, we got to go to the Phelps' for our "adult" date.

We started with a lovely dinner.  There was pizza from Settebellos, lemongrass rice from Ginger Street, pulled pork from R&R Barbecue,  enchiladas from Red Iguana, pomegranate guacamole from Roc Tacos, and dessert cookies from Ruby Snap and Crumble.  It was a super fun meal with delicious food and great conversation!

I feel bad Sarah is not in the picture.
She was the photographer.😕

After dinner they wanted to do something that was my favorite and they know that I love to play Settlers of Cataan so we played a game around the table.  I came in dead last!  Skylar won (of course)!  It was great, though!

The next favorite was something that Rick likes to do...and that is just sitting around talking.  Sarah had made a list of questions as conversation starters, and we each got to choose one or two to start off the conversation.  The first question was "Do you have any recurring dreams?"  and it took off from there!

We didn't have time for the last favorite (because it was time to get the kids) which was watching some of their favorite funny You Tube stories.  But they promised to do that on another day.

Thanks Skylar and Sarah for a wonderful Christmas Gift.  It was an evening spent with two of our favorite people!💗
