Playtime

A little over a week ago we had a family getaway for a day at Lagoon and a day at Cherry Hill.  It has been tradition for a few years now that we pull our trailer for two fun days and nights at the campgrounds at these theme parks.  Before the fun began we were on the side of I 80 with a blowout on our RV.  Surprising since our tires were bought just last month:(  After that unfortunate incident with some help from Triple A we were able to get back on the road.  It is fun that Lagoon is just 45 minutes away from our home!  It worked out great though seeing it was an extremely hot day because we got into the park around 5 pm after getting the trailer set up.  It was very nice enjoying the park in the evening temperatures.  Plus, I like Lagoon when all the light s come on at night.

Gary came earlier in the day with Skylar and Matt Rigby (Sarah's brother)
Sarah was, of course, at home.  Lagoon is no place for a seriously pregnant woman!
As we came into the park we spied Gary (who had gotten separated from the others)
and he came on the first ride with us.

Kaitlyn and John were right behind us....

...and Gary sat in front of us!

While we were standing in line for Music Express we spied Matt and Sky.

Our group taking a break.

Kaitlyn let me have her ice cold Propel.
Who knew flavored water could taste so good!!

Grandpa and Rafe on the carousel.  Rafe loved it!

Little Haivyn did pretty well despite the hot weather.

Brach and Ken
Kendra was sad that she could only watch everyone having fun on the rides....cause she seriously loves the wild rides.  She says,  she's NOT planning on being pregnant for next year's Lagoon trip:)

Rafe on his first 'Puff' ride!
He didn't cry but he looked terrified all 45 seconds of it!

Traditional ice cream fest at Pioneer Village!

After a fun evening at Lagoon we camped overnight in the campground.  John and Kait who were planning to stay in the trailer with us decided that they would rather sleep in their own bed that night:)  John had to work in the morning anyway.  Skylar went home to Sarah and Gary went back to SL to sleep in his own bed because he had to work the next day as well.  So that left Brach and Kendra who pitched a little tent at our campsite.  The next morning we drove into town and ate at Granny Annies.  We found this gem of a place a couple of years ago.  Such a good breakfast place!!

After breakfast we loaded up the trailer and drove the 10 minutes to Cherry Hill.  I seriously LOVE this place.  It's super family friendly and fun!!

Sarah came along for this day.  I think getting in the water in these hot temps sounded good to her.
These two are such a cute couple!

The Bomans
Sure do love this little family!

That evening we enjoyed spending time in the park.
Rafe is getting a laundry basket ride from his dad!

While they were doing that Rick and I and Skylar and Sarah played a little Mormon Bridge.
Skylar won.......again:(

After enjoying an amazing dinner at Famous Dave's in Clearfield we came back to the Pie Pantry at Cherry Hill and had some delicious pie and ice cream.
Then the two couples got into a game of dominion.
Bet you can't guess who won!!

This is such a fun tradition for our family!  Rick and I sure enjoy being with everyone!
As the grandkids get older it's gonna get even better:)
