Orlando Temple and The Eye

On our fourth day of our trip we got to spend the morning at the Orlando Temple.  It is a beautiful building with immaculate grounds.  It was wonderful being there with the group.  We got a group picture but it was taken on someone else phone and it never got sent to me:(

After lunch at The Golden Corral we went back to the condo for a nap:)  You know, "a full stomach and tiredness".  While we did that Darrell and DeeAnn packed up and went back out toward Cape Canaveral to get to Coco Beach.  Later that evening Rick and I drove to downtown Orlando to ride "The Eye", a gigantic ferris wheel (with indoor seating standing).  It was outrageously expensive but it was a pleasant experience:)  There were not many people in line (no big surprise because of the cost) so we got our own gondola:)

A view from the top.

While it was pretty with the view all of the lights off the city it was tough to get our bearings because it was so dark outside.  We count really tell which direction was which.

After our ride we wandered around the area.  There were many restaurants, an arcade, a wax museum, and a couple of different rides.  We opted to have a quick bite at Outback and even saved some room for some Ben and Jerry's!  Five words:  New York Super Fudge Chunk!  My fave!

A good way to end the day!

  1. I'm delighted that you got to go on "The Eye"! Dennis and I went on "The London Eye"--twice, and really enjoyed the experience. Just last fall we went on "The Big Wheel" out over the water in Seattle, for a similar experience, and it was really GREAT, but I don't think it's nearly as high as the London one--or the one that you guys went on in Orlando. I really LOVE high places, though, so we do all those kinds of things that we come across.
