Harvest

After yesterday's wild frog experience we walked over to the garden.
Who knew all this yummy stuff was underneath all that greenery?
I used some of it for last nights dinner.  Fresh cucumbers and carrots (with a little dressing.)
For my mexican rice I used the green pepper, tomato and onion.
The onion was small but it sure added flavor.

cucumbers, green peppers, jalepenos, onion, radishes, and tomato

There's plenty more where this came from.
Plus, we planted pumpkins (regular orange AND white), potatoes and watermelon.
Harvest time is GREAT!  I just don't know what to do with all of it.  There's just the two of us now and that sure is a lot of food.  If you want something....COME AND GET IT!!

  1. Isn't it rewarding to use fresh vegetables right out of your garden?? Dennis planed a small garden for us in our back yard, and even though it's small--it's really YIELDING well!! We've had lots of cucumbers, radishes, carrots, nice tomatoes, green peppers and tons of zucchini. The green beans are late coming on, but when they do, I plan to make 'Dilly Beans' with them--spicy hot little delicacies....) We've got lots of early apples and apricots ready in our back yard, and you guys are going to really love having those fruit trees produce some day! Glad to see you're enjoying 'the fruits of your labors'! Love, Karen
