This year's big neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt did not happen.
Since Easter Sunday fell on Conference weekend and the weekend before did not work Kathy and I decided to just do our own grandkid hunts but to continue with the adult hunt that evening after conference was over. It worked out great. We made a nice ham dinner for everyone with cheese potatoes and all the fixings'. The girls added to the dinner with deviled eggs, a salad, pumpkin pie and chips. Kendra almost did not make it because of a huge backup on I-80. She had been at Rafe's baseball tournament in Ogden and she had to miss the championship game (which by the way they won!) She finally arrived in time to get some grub and then we had the hunt.
We hid eggs in the front yard for the littler kids and hid eggs in the backyard for the bigger kids. They all found plenty!
Our adult hunt was well attended. Skylar and Kaitlyn found the prize eggs and I believe pretty much everyone was happy with what they found. Even Gary found a nice twenty dollar bill so he was thrilled. It's a fun (albeit expensive) tradition with these grown ups. They area ll good kiddos!
