Last night we had our Phelps Sibling Halloween Party.
We were low in numbers with Brad and Ruth and Darla and Larry off on vacation to Europe.
No matter, we had a great time with those who DID come.
Since we only had ten of us I thought it would be fun to change things up for the party.
Normally, we have a soup bar with a bunch of sides but this year we did a full on dinner.
I asked my cute granddaughters to come over and serve us in the dining room and Sarah to come help out in the kitchen. It turned out really well and they were super cute. For a starter I had prepared a yummy fall pear salad with onion dressing.
For dinner, I made Chicken Parmesan. Kathy brought some Penne Alfredo while DeeAnn brought some green beans and asparagus. I had asked Sarah to make some fresh sourdough and it complimented the dinner perfectly. For dinner Julie Evans made us a pumpkin cheesecake and I made a flourless chocolate cake. They were both yummy!
Aren't these girls so cute!😍
When everyone arrived we all got together for pictures.
This is our group picture.
Rick and I had easy costumes this year...lumerjacks.
Dennis and Karen were a sheriff and his prisoner.
DeeAnn came as Darrell💙
Ken came as a Jazz fan
Hal came as a devil and Janis had a scarecrow pinned on.😛
Trent and Kathy took the costume prize home. They came as a s'more!
After dinner we played a new fun game called Do You Even Know Me? We each had a card with multiple choice answers. After reading the card the group had to guess which answer we thought best fit them the best and then they would tell us their answer. If we got it right we got a BFF card. The one with the most BFF cards were the winner. It was Kathy. No surprise there. She usually wins the games. HAHA!
It was a great time with family! What a fun tradition that we have created through the years. This is the thirty sixth year of costume parties. I love Halloween time!
