New Year 2019

This year's New Years Eve celebration was nice.  Since all of our kids were busy with friends or in laws Rick and I found ourselves alone on New Years Eve.  Actually, it was a welcome respite from the busy week that we had moving Kaitlyn and Alyssia.  (Alyssia and Xavier moved to Ogden and the next day Kaitlyn moved to the other side of Grantsville)

So it happened on New Years Eve Rick and I planned to have a night alone:)  Kendra and the kids came to visit for a little while.  While Kendra and I visited upstairs Grandpa built a fire and  entertained (and fed) the littles downstairs while watching a nature show about lions.  They had fun with that!

After eating our takeout from Dickey's we started our double feature; Star Wars The Force Awakens and Star Wars The Last Jedi.  The first one we watched downstairs with the cozy fire in the stove and the second we watched up in our bedroom in our cozy bed:)

Oh yes, you can bet we had all kinds of munchies for our movie fest!

We may or may not have dozed through that last show but needless to say we finally went to bed (for real) at about 1:30.  We slept in until 8:45!

It was a great way to spend New Year's Eve!!

The next day we worked really hard to get all of our Christmas decor down.  I thought we would be done in an hour and a half.  Rick just scoffed at that and said, "we'll see."  Well,  we finally finished putting everything away by 4:00 in the afternoon.  I was exhausted but it felt good to have everything cleaned up and back to normal.

We had previously scheduled a date night with Brach and Kendra for that evening so we met them at 6:00 at La Fountain for some delicious Mexican food and then went over to All Star Lanes for a game of bowling.  They couldn't find a babysitter so the kids joined us.  We had a fun time knocking down pins and then we spent some time in the arcade with the kids playing games.  Grandpa kept putting more and more money on the card so the kids could keep playing.  They played for about an hour.

I on the other hand was super tired and seeing how I had been sick for the few days previous I was DONE.  I waited in the bowling area watching Brady and everyone's coats while they finished up at the arcade.  While we had a great time being with the Bomans, the bed could not come fast enough for me that night!

Happy New Year!!!

Excited for 2019
