FAMILY DAY AT CHERRY HILL AND LAGOON

SUMMERTIME!!

I love this time of year!  We have been to the pool three times so far this summer and will hopefully be back many times.  Here's a few pictures from our time at the pool.  About halfway into our stay we either get nachos or fries (or sometimes both:)  The kids love treats from the snack bar.

Two weekends ago we had our annual Cherry Hill campout.  Skylar and Sarah decided not to stay in a tent  so they went home each night.  Brach and Kendra, however, were able to find a good deal ($50 a night) on an RV so they had a spot a few trailers over from us.  Since Kaitlyn had to work Rick and I brought Haivyn and Merik with us so they wouldn't miss out on the fun.

We surely enjoyed our time in the park. Some of the kids are getting a little older and can go down a couple of slides by themselves. (Even the lazy river)  We had a nice time enjoying the cool water on a hot day.

That evening we enjoyed a taco dinner at the campsite.  Before we knew it the sun was going down and we settled down in the trailer with a movie.  Wow!  I sure slept well that night.  So did Haivyn and Merik:)

The next morning was our Lagoon day!  First, Brach,  Kendra and the kids joined us for an egg, sausage and pancake breakfast.  Rafe wasn't feeling very well and ended up throwing up in the trailer.  He immediately laid down on the bed and went to sleep for an hour.  We were trying to figure out what to do if he had to stay back.  Luckily he woke up about an hour later and was feeling much improved and ended up having a wonderful day.  (Our guess was that he had gotten dehydrated from his day at Cherry Hill.  It was a hot day and although we spent a lot of time IN the water we think he just didn't get enough water IN HIM.)  Anyway, he woke up feeling better and so everyone got dressed and ready for our big day.

LAGOON DAY!!

We got to Lagoon just after opening time.  We started off in the kiddie section and everyone seemed to be having a good time.  The first ride for Haivyn and Merik was the Ladybug Bop.  Merik was terrified and cried through the whole ride.  He was happy to get off and go on some of the less 'scary' rides.  After going through a lot of the kiddie rides we moved to the medium rides.  The older kids are getting bigger so they were tall enough to ride them.  Here are a couple that some of them tried....Tidal Wave, Bambara, The White Roller Coaster, and Rafe even went on Cannibal which he was so proud of.

Early in the day we met up with Skylar and Sarah and Gary. (Kaitlyn had to work😞)  Gary was chomping at the bit to get to the bigger rides and that's a little tough when you have little ones around but we finally got to them a little later in the afternoon and I think he was satisfied.   It was a long full day but we enjoyed the excitement of being at Lagoon.

Rides, snacks, and treats always make Lagoon a fun  experience!

Here are some pictures of our day....

We decided to get some dinner out of Lagoon because it's so darned expensive there plus Rick's favorite spot to eat is Zupa's so we met up with the Bomans and had some dinner there before heading back to our trailers.  Here's a picture of Brady who slept through the whole dinner.

(Check out his little boy scuffed up legs.  This one is ALL boy!:)

We all felt exhausted after a day at Lagoon but we sure made some great memories!
Until next year.....😀
