Halloween Parties for the Littles

Last week we had TWO Halloween parties for our grands.  The first one on September 30th and the second one the very next night.  This is the SIXTH year for the bigger kids and the FIRST year for the littler ones.  The younger kids are all getting old enough to know they are missing out when the bigger kids get together.  That makes me feel bad to not include them but it is entirely too much to have them all at once so we invited the younger ones to their very own Halloween party!  They were SUPER excited and to be honest, so was I.  They are all so adorable and easy too please.  They get along well and were just very happy to be involved with all of the exciting plans.

We started out with a fun charcuterie filled with all things Halloween!

Hot Dog mummies, Celery filled "monsters" jack'o lantern quesadillas, black cat nachos, halloween brownies, and more...
Actually it was more for me wanting to be creative than for the littles because they ATE very little.
I think it turned out so cute!😀

After dinner we had the kids go on their special treasure hunt.
Oh man!  They were so cute listening to the clues and then running to find the next one.
Their bag of "prizes and treats" were found in the fire pit.

They were so happy for all of the little prizes inside their bags.

After a couple of games... Don't Eat Pete and Bingo and Hide and Seek
they all got bathed and dressed in their adorable new jammies!
Aren't they so cute?

Next we watched a few Disney Halloween shows.
The kids had a fun time watching.
Then it was bedtime and they all had a little pallet on the floor by our bed.
We said prayers, I sang them a couple of songs and they were out!

The next morning we had a nutritious breakfast of Boo Berry and Franken Berry Cereals.
We filled them up with sugar and sent them home....
just like any good grandparent!😂

The next night we had the older kids join us for a fun party.  We had found that two children from our ward were being baptized that night, Bronx and Bristol Olsen, at 6 PM the time our party was to begin.  We invited all of the kids to join us for the baptism which turned out nice.  This meant that our party started an hour later than expected and everyone was super hungry by then.

I put together another charcuterie board but this time added some homemade chicken noodle soup.  It was so good and hit the spot for everyone.  I also made some ghost rolls that turned out really cute.
The funny thing is that I added the monster celery from the night before just for looks but two of the kids ate them right up!  I guess they tasted ok after all:)

After dinner the kids went right out for their treasure hunt.  It was dark by then but the kids had fun using the one flashlight we had available.  They raced from the front to the back many times following the different clues until they found their "treasure" in the back seat of grandpa's truck!

They had fun playing with their trinkets and eating up their goodies!

Afterwards were going to play Bingo but they decided they would rather play Don't Eat Pete which I thought was super funny because that's a game for really little kids.  They all had fun taking turns being the one finding Pete!

Next was bath, new jammies and a movie.
Here they are in their new pj's!

After watching "The Wrong Trousers" the kids decided that they wanted to watch "Chicken Run".
It was a late night with Henry and Charles falling asleep first.  We were able to sleep well.  The kids all woke up early which worked out well because the boys had sports games starting right off.  They all enjoyed some Boo Berry and Franken Berry cereal before they left.  Another year of Halloween parties in the books!
