New Temple Road Trip

After spending a fun day in Chicago we headed out for our annual temple road trip.
We started out at the Chicago, Illinois temple where we did initiatory work.
On the outside the temple reminded me of the Las Vegas Temple, but on the inside it is just one level unlike the Las Vegas Temple.  It was very beautiful.  In reserving a session I found that they were not open on Tuesdays even though all of the other temples were.  The worker at the desk said that they are not open on Tuesdays because there is a lack of patrons...which is so sad to me.  Chicago and the surrounding areas are very populated!  This temple should be full every day!

After our time in Chicago we drove three hours to the South to get to the Indianapolis, Indiana Temple.  Here we had scheduled a sealing session.  We did ten of Rick's family names and didn't have a chance to get to any of mine.

I have work to do when I get home.

That evening we drove another hour and a half to get to Dayton, Ohio where we overnighted.
We got up early to catch an eleven o'clock session in Columbus, Ohio.
I loved this temple.  The celestial room was really beautiful.

After the session we drove the three hours to Louisville, Kentucky.
After dinner we had a good night's rest and then got up to catch another initiatory session at the Louisville Temple.  These latter three temples were the exact same floorpan.  They are built in the small temple style that President Hinckley came up with to get more temples to the people.  They are the same floorpan but different in styling.  They were all very nice!

With this trip we are at eight new temples for this year.  We've got at least two more to go!  We'll have to see which one is next!
