Baby Wyatt turns ONE

Wyatt turned one year old on the 7th of September.
We had his birthday celebration a week early becasue of the annual Alaska trip that both Brach and Rafe were going to be gone for.
He is the most beloved baby in the family!  He is loved by everyone sooo much!

Brach and Kendra had a party for him (held at Doug and Leesa's)
It was a "little cowboy" theme and we had cake and ice cream to celebrate.

All of the Boman clan was there and we had the staples attend from our family.

Wyatt was so cute as he dug into his little cake.

This boy brings us so much joy!

                                                                Happy Birthday, Wyatt!!

Merik turns NINE

Merik turned nine today.  We had a small get together with neighbors and family.
Previously, I had asked Merik what kind of cake he wanted.  He told me lemon cake...and I went with it.

That cake was masterpiece if I do say so myself.
It was sooo good!  And pretty, too.😉

He opened presents and we had cake and ice cream out on the patio.

                                                                            Good times!

Canyon with Sot and Tiffini

We FINALLY got our date with scot and Tiff up into the canyons.  We had been planning for it all summer and had at least two nights when it was cancelled at the last minute.  This one worked.
We each took a ranger and drove from home to the Boy Scout Campground.  Before stopping and getting dinner ready we decided that we should ride to the top to look for deer before it got too dark.

We found at least twelve!

We ended the evening with chicken dogs, chips, pasta salad and watermelon.
WE had a nice time visitng and roasting s'mores.

                                                                 They are good buddies!

Last huurrah before school starts...

The week before school started Rick and I had a special morning with our older kids doing baptisms for the dead at the Deseret Peak Temple.  Rick did the baptizing and the rest of us did family names.

We love this bunch of kids!

A few days later I took Haivyn (and Scout tagged along) in to JC Penney's to get a new hairstyle

                                                                         She loved it!!

She looked so pretty.  I am hopeful she will continue to style her hair for school.

Another fun thing we did in preparation of school starting was a girls date with grandma.  I had made an appointment with the nail salon a whole month previous and the girls would ask me weekly when the date was gonna be there.  They were super excited.  They had each taken time to look online to find a color and style they wanted.  Here are the results.  They all turned out so cute!

After our appointment we stopped at Chili's for lunch and had fun talking and eating!

Of course, we had to stop and get a crumble cookie to end our fabulous girls date!

                                                                   Sure do love these girls!!

Real Game

For Skylar's birthday we got to go on a fun date with Skylar and Sarah.  We first stopped at Slackwater Pizza for dinner.  Skylar had been wanting to give this pizza joint a try.  We ordered four different types of pizza and all shared.  It was really yummy!

We then got to go America First Field for the game.  We were able to park a block away at Jeff Winderlin's property then walked from there.  We sure enjoyed watching the team play and eating treats throughout.  Most of all we loved the company.

We loved celebrating Skylar who just turned THIRTY SIX!  Oh my lands!  My baby is getting ever closer to FORTY!  Skylar is an excellent husband, father and son.  We are proud of his many accomplishments but mostly just love him for who he is!😄

Henry Turns TWELVE

Henry turned TWELVE years old yesterday on the 8th of August!

WE love our Henry boy sooo much!  He is such a good young man and wants to do what is right.  He is very affectionate with both Rick and I and we love him for it!

Skylar and Sarah had a family get together for him.
We met together with the Rigby family and got to celebrate the birthday boy!

Here's a picture of all the cuties in attendance.

Lagoon

Last week we were able to have our Lagoon day for the last of the summer Hurrah.  We weren't able to get to Lagoon last year so we for sure didn't want to miss it this year.  We all had such a good time.  It was a really hot day but thanks to Rattlesnake Rapids we were able to get drenched (twice) and that cooled us down for a while.  The kids all had fun on the kiddie rides and even on some of the bigger rides.  The kids rode Bambora at least EIGHT times.  I rode it once with them but they just kept getting back in the line, which really wasn't a line, because it was first thing in the morning.
There was not much waiting at all.

After a couple of hours we went to the park just behind Pioneer Village and had a picnic.  Sarah had wanted to bring lunch to save money and I'm glad she suggested it.

After lunch we found this new ride and the kids loved it.

Wyatt got tuckered out in the heat but seriously, overall he was just so pleasant the whole day and even got to go on a couple of rides with cousins, the boat ride and the Carousel.

We got to ride the new coaster Primordial.  It was in 3D so we got to where these cool glasses.

                                                            Fun times at Lagoon!
