JUNE

Oh, June, June, June.....you always get left behind in the posting department.  Life is busy in the month of June so here's a short recap....

First, I can't move on without another cute picture of our little Chloe.
She is a doll and we love her so much1

In the second week of June we had our ward's super activity for the youth.  The ward mission was asked by Janae Titmus, our Young Women's president, to help with the food.  Rick and I were heavily involved in helping to feed the youth and their leaders.  We had a bbq at our pavilion for the first night and then for the other meals we were up at the Heber Valley Camp.  It was a fun time for us all. No pictures of that, though!

The next weekend we had our annual Phelps Family Reunion hosted by Hal and Janis.  We met up at Emigration Campground like we have for the last four years.  It was a well planned reunion but unfortunately it was super cold.  It made it hard to be outside much because of the cold.  We were privileged to have Haivyn come along with us and Skylar and Sarah were there for two night,s as well.
One exciting thing that happened when we first got there was that we accidentally locked the keys in the truck!  While Kathy and I rode down towards Montpelier to get a locksmith up to us we got word that the keys were successfully retrieved using a method that Kallie had seen on Facebook.  By using duct tape the guys were able to get the window down far enough to stick a spatula in and unlock the door.  The truck fared well except for a little scratch on the driver's side door.

Here are some pictures taken as we were waiting for the program to begin.  It was a marvelous program highlighting veterans from the family that served in the civil war, first and second world wars, and vietnam war.  It was really special!

On June 20th Brady turned ONE!  Kendra made him this cute smore's cake.  It tasted delicious!

Brady really liked it too:)

Another fun thing we did in June was pick our cherries in the orchard.  We had a little help from our friends!  I made a cherry pie for Rick out of the many that we had.  My countertop was full!
After washing and bagging them we got to share them with our neighbors.

Lastly, we had a really fun date night the last week of June.  We started with dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. Kendra had suggested that we try the Reese's Cheesecake.  It did not disappoint!  Rick said, "I think this is the best cheesecake I have ever tasted" and I had to agree!

After dinner we got checked into our room at The Anniversary Inn.  We loved our night there.  It was a beautiful room with a beautiful bath!

                                 Our traditional Anniversary Inn breakfast.

After getting ready the next morning we drove over to Daybreak to see our friend Sarah, who had a booth set up with her soaps and lotion bars.  It was a beautiful day outside and we enjoyed the market's samples and wares.  Rick bought a nutella, banana, crepe which I had a bite of:)  It was fun watching the server make them.

Skylar and Sarah brought the kids to the market just as we were finishing.  We visited with them for a few minutes and then took off to catch a movie.

Brett, Sarah and Bridger Vandergon.

June has been a full month with lots of babysitting and eating on the patio and days at the pool and watching kids play on the backyard swings.  A great way to start the summer months!
