Daisy Phelps was born earlier this month on January 17th. She came a few days late and so we were all surprised at how small she was. She weighed 6 lbs 9 oz and was 19 1/2 inches. Sarah had a pretty easy delivery with no complications.
She makes grandchild number nine!
We are so happy that she is here safe and sound and healthy! We have loved spending time with this little one. She has a soft cry and looks very much like her brother Charles.
Newborn babies are simply THE BEST!!
A few weeks before her birth we had a shower for Sarah and baby. Sharon Rigby wanted to throw her a shower and asked if I could help with the decorations while she arranged for the food. I love that kind of stuff so I heartily agreed even though it was just a few days before the shower was to take place. I decided on the colors of rose gold and light pink. The colors were so pretty together!
I bought a couple of wall hangings for the baby's room and got to work on a banner and other things.
I had a vision for this corner of the room with a blessing dress as the centerpiece. This blessing dress happens to be Haivyen's but Aunt Lar is making one just especially for baby Daisy. It's not quite finished yet.
I found some flowers in the right colors at Costco.
Sharon arranged for the food. She had a relish tray and cookies.
There was a great turnout with many from our ward attending. The whole young women showed up as well and that doubled our numbers! Such a fun night!
We are so blessed to have Daisy in our family!
